The Cuisine magazine is a NZ food wine and good living magazine selling over 13,500 copies each issues predominantly in New Zealand and Australia.

The awards relate to Issue 136 September 2009. An international tasting of 269 red wines from NZ, Aust, France, Italy, Spain, Portugal, Chile and Argentina.

6 wines scored 4.5 stars or more. Rosedale entered the 2007 ‘Nine Lives’ Shiraz and 2007 ‘Alley Cat’ Shiraz Grenache. The 2007 ‘Alley Cat’ was revered as the no.1 wine, while the 2007 ‘Nine Lives’ scored 4th.

The tasting panel was made up of the following wine industry identities; John Blesham, winemaker/ owner of Foxes Island Wines in Marlborough, and a respected wine judge, Australian based judge and writer Ralph Kyte-Powell, Peter Cowley, chief winemaker at Te Mata Estate, Hawke’s Bay, and associate judge Jane Boyle, brand strategy manger at New Zealand Wine Cellars.
